So here I am giving you the five lessons which don’t require tuition or money to teach it but the awareness and attitude to live with it, and make it a part of life to train one’s brain and make it compelling.
So here are the 5 lessons to get success. These are five characteristics, features or qualities
- PUT EFFORTS LIKE A CROW
- FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL LIKE A CRANE
- STAY ALERT LIKE A DOG
- ALWAYS GIVE RIGHT INPUTS TO YOUR SENSES
- LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE
PUT EFFORTS LIKE A CROW
Each one of you must have read or heard the story of a thirsty crow, Crow was very thirsty, and it finds the pitcher, but the water was at the bottom of the pitcher. And there was no way that the crow could put its beak inside the pitcher. The crow started thinking, what should be done? And it came across the brilliant idea, It started flying around and started picking tiny pebbles by its beak and started putting it inside the pitcher. Pebble by pebble, crow kept working hard until the water level rose to the rim of pitcher. And the crow quenched its thirst. It’s the patience, hard work, and effort of the crow, that delivered the result.
Similarly, If we have to work on our lives, we have to bring what is within to the outside truly. We have to go through some painful sharpening, hard work. So this one quality one should have to grow.
FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL LIKE A CRANE
We should have the intense focus of the crane, when we look at the crane, standing on the one leg, wholly focused into the water. The crane with one-pointed attention is looking at the waters as fishes swim in the water. The crane will allow the tiny fish to swim around and not be satisfied with them. It allows small fishes to swim around. The crane will focus and wait for the big fish to come. If the crane settles with the little fish, it will lose the big fish. If crane wants the big fish, it has to allow big fish to pass by and go around.
Similarly, in life, when you want to focus on what is essential, we should allow the small things to pass by. We shouldn’t be distracted by the little things, sometimes, there will be interpersonal issues and conflicts, sometimes there will be health crises or financial crises, so many things keep happening in life. Let the small thing pass and focus on what’s important.
STAY ALERT LIKE A DOG
We know, when the dog is sleeping, although the eyes are closed, the dog is very alert to its surroundings. Even if there is a little sound, or if someone strolls, the dog will immediately open its eyes.
All those who want knowledge in their lives want to pursue that need to have the quality of alertness. Although we may have eyes closed, not literally, but doing what we are doing in our lives, we shouldn’t miss out on being alert to the world around us. There is a lot to learn in this world from people, objects, from situations, from surroundings, we will only gain, when we are alert.
ALWAYS GIVE RIGHT INPUTS TO YOUR SENSES
Input to your senses is the fourth quality one should have. We should be cautious of what inputs, we give to our minds, because, whatever data we offer to your senses. Go and make a profound, indelible impression on our psyche, on our inner systems. It is also called sanskar is Sanskrit; Sanskara means lasting impression, that sensory inputs leave on our mind. We give so much data through our senses. and they leave an indelible mark, sometimes unerasable mark on our consciousness and our mind. Therefore we should be cautious about choosing those sensory inputs which are of great value. Do not subject yourself to unwanted things in the world around us, which will go and occupy your precious mind space and be taken by unwanted and less valuable thoughts.
LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE
If we are living in our comfort zone, there is no question of pursuing that which is of real value. We also refer to it as no pains, no gains. The Comfort zone makes us lazy and won’t help us take the risk one should take to achieve great success. Behind most of the unsuccessful stories, one reason or quality that stands the most is our comfort zone. So one should leave the comfort zone to experience the true potential of one’s.
So these are the 5 lessons to get success, and I hope you will find it helpful impactful in your personal and professional life.
